Frequently asked questions

How is the percentage calculated?

From marks: (marks obtained ÷ maximum marks) × 100 — CBSE and ICSE use your best five subjects. From grades: total grade points ÷ (grade points × subjects) × 100 — for example 80 ÷ 90 = 88.89%. Boards without grade points use the middle of each grade band.

What is the pass mark?

Kerala SSLC needs D+ (30%); Karnataka 30% per subject and 33% overall; Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra 35%; West Bengal 34%; CBSE 33%; ICSE 35% per subject (33% aggregate). Always confirm with your own board’s circular.
